Vice President of Operations / Cashier
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides overall direction to the staff at the Downtown facility as well as tellers and new accounts personnel at the South Main facility.
Ensures that the duties and responsibilities assigned the respective subordinates are carried out in an effective, systematic, and cost-oriented manner that will assure maximum customer service and satisfaction, appropriate control over the processing of all transactions, and provide required protection of bank assets.
Coordinates the Internal Audit Function at the bank. Additionally acts as Training Officer/Cashier, Complaint Officer, and serves on ALCO, Technology, Supervisor, Strategic Planning, Fraud, and Vendor Management committees.

 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. In consultation with senior management, establishes and implements departmental policies and operating procedures according to overall
    bank policies and operating objectives, which ensures the proper control and maximum efficiency of subordinate areas of responsibility:
        a. Bookkeeping and check imaging operations
        b. Central information system
        c. Systems and procedures, including operations compliance
        d. Customer service, including teller line and new accounts
        e. Internal Audit, Reconciliations, and Accounts Payable
2. Reviews management control reports and compares actual versus planned budgetary performance. Directs and/or prepares several reports
    and analysis reflecting internal bank operations and performance, including the Call Report. Prepares the budget.
3. Develops and implements service fee rates that are competitive and support the bank's business strategy and profit objectives.
4. In consultation with other managers, researches new banking programs and services to establish their feasibility at the bank; conducts
    analysis of implementation processes and costs to support recommendations.
5. Serves as liaison between personnel and regulators and the auditors in connection with bank audits and examinations. Coordinates the
    Internal Audit Function.
6. Establishes and implements and writes all operating policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls in accounting and customer
    service related areas.
7. Responsible for management of required daily reserves of the bank, cash control, deposits at other financial institutions and backs up
    Federal Funds transactions.
8. Responsible for all operational aspects of the bank's investment portfolio (Accounting for interest and principal payments, new purchases
    and sales. Backs up safekeeping and pledging).
9. Heads up the deposit compliance area under the direction of the Compliance Officer.
10. Assists in the hiring process for all Tellers and New Accounts Personnel.
11. Responsible for Business Process Manager (BPM) - software for opening new accounts.
12. Opens all types of deposit accounts as needed.
13. Reviews all Complaints, takes necessary actions and reports to the Board as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. A high level of interpersonal skills is necessary to work effectively with customers and staff.
2. Bachelor's degree. 
3. Minimum of 10 years of financial institution related accounting, customer service, and supervisory experience.
4. Physical presence at the bank is required to perform responsibilities and duties.
